Hi, I am using your Music Mania 1.4 extension for joomla. I found that it only support MP3 files and I want to use other formats of music files like wave, midi, .wma, etc. Please response.

I have used Maian Music Version 1.3.9 and joomla version 1.5.18. I am getting notice for "Notice: Undefined property" and "Notice: Constant _msg_charset already defined" on admin side and front end also. I have tried all the things but unable to shot out the problem. Please let me know what I am doing wrong.

0000091: Sort Categories

I feel that being able to split the albums into categories, whether it be by genre or some other attribute, would be one of the most useful features available for Maian Music. I think it's a relatively simple feature that could make all the difference. I know in my case it is a MUST and I am unable to use Maian Music because of it, but I would REALLY like to use it when the option to sort music into categories becomes available.

0000090: Album not showing tracks, tracks not playing, no purchase function

First, this is an awesome looking and easy to install extension. Unfortunately, I am unable to get it to work.
I first installed 1.4 and then used the update feature in the extension c-panel and updated to 1.4.1

The biggest issue is that I am unable to get the album to show me a list of tracks associated with it. I click on the icon or the name of the album and it just refreshes the page.

The second issue AFTER the update is that it cannot find any of the mp3 players in the selection. BEFORE the update, I see the players, but when I click on the play button, it doesn't play anything. (NOTE: I have confirmed that the path to the previews and the actual tracks are correct. I used the "tools" function that is part of the extension to confirm it.)

Finally, when I do get to see a list of the most popular songs, UNLIKE the demo version, there is no check boxes to purchase.

If you can help me check my settings (see screen shot) and let me know if I am doing anything wrong. I'd be gratefu.

I'll admit I am a novice, but I have finally managed to get some tracks uploaded and the music to play, and everything seems to be working great except, every other song in the track list has a white box over all of the information. 0000073: Unable to preview music in Firefox, but can in Safari

First off, great plugin!! Thank you so much for developing it. I have noticed a problem with the front end. On my mac, I am able to hear the preview music on my safari browser version 4.0.3, but can't hear anything at all on my Firefox browser, version 3.5.4. The music won't even play. Maian Music 1.3 Beta (Version 1.3.6)

Hi,

I have my player set to ‘mediaplayer’ but when I use the ‘html customise’ and add text to the various pages and save, the text appears on the pages and is fine, but when I click on an album, the player has reverted back to the default ‘Premium Beat’ player and only the first track appears.
When I go back to the settings, change the player back to ‘mediaplayer’ and click save, the ‘mediaplayer’ appears and all album tracks load … but all the text I added disappears.

When I use any of the 5 versions of the ‘Premium Beat’ player, only the first track in an album will load plus the skins on the player do not change.

The ‘track uploader’ didn’t work with Internet Explorer 7, but works fine with Internet Explorer 8 and Firefox.

‘Free Downloads’ and ‘Most Popular’ pages do not display any tracks.

0000045: Re: Few Issues

Hi!

I've just upgraded today and hit a few snags. First, I backed up my tables, uninstalled the old version, installed the new version, and went to import everything (through "Backup Tables" > "Import"). It's telling me a few things weren't found. I will paste what it says:

When I just hit the "Import Tables" from the System Tools, I get this:

jos_mm_paypal Not Found

My Maian navigation menu disappeared (License, Music, etc.)after I upgraded.

My MP3 that I uploaded (via FTP) isn't playing in the preview. The system tool check says everything is okay. I couldn't get the upload to work in Maian, it kept giving me a 500 error.

I just upgraded today and still get this error:

Current Version 1.3.7 Your Version 1.3.6

I don't mean to complain, but I think it's an awesome project and would love to see it flourish.

0000029: search box appears on the left over the first listed album

I thought it was better when the search was in the top left opposite the cart contents.

The search also still does nothing for me

0000010: Contact form will always replies with incorrect code unless code is refreshed first

If I got to my contact page and fill in the form then I get the page back saying the code was incorrect.

The only way to may it work I have found is to first click on the code to get a refreshed image and then fill in the form and submit it. THen it works.

0000065: Problem with pagination on search results page

I have one little problem that relates to "search" or rather the navigation between the different search results.

In the cases where there are more than 5 results on the search result page maian music display a navigation bar typically in a format like this:
«Start Prev 1 2 3 4 5 Next End»

The problem is that it doesn't work for me.

Whatever link I choose simply bring me back to the first 5 search results.

0000026: Various bugs...

Paypal users still aren't receiving download link emails. I'm getting this error bounced to me:

A message that you sent contained no recipient addresses, and therefore no delivery could be attempted.

So mailer is trying to send the email but the email address isn't getting passed, although maian obviously receives it from paypal as it appears in the sales area.

Also, you have some outdated links to com_maianmusic folder, instead of com_maian15, particularly on the downlink link window. The download.gif file also points to images/cart instead of media/cart.

When user uses search and find many search results the first 5 are shown on the search result page.

Below these there are a navigational bar that typically could look like:
<< Start Prev 1 2 3 4 5 Next End >>

The problem here is that these links does not work.

Hi,
I can not disable the search field. I have tried checking and un-checking the "include search field" on the back end and it won't disappear. I've also tried installing and un-installing Maian Music 1.3.7

Hi! I did some live purchases (http://nattygerman.com/shop.html?view=album&album=1) [^] and I got two emails sent with download links to the mp3 tracks. They don't work at all - just simply a blank pop-up.

Can you check for me please?

0000046: Some tracks do not download correctly.

It seems that some tracks do not download properly when listed as a free track. This issue may also cross over to purchased tracks but I have not tested this.

The tracks the do not work seem random as some tracks from an album will work and some will not. I can not see what is making it behaive this way.

To check it out go to http://merkabarecords.com/ [^] login with user/pass of test/test and try downloading the Semtex YoYo track. it takes a little while then starts downloading and instantly finishes with a small file size and a corrupt file.

Seems when you enlarge the album art the flash players cover the images

0000043: No Folders Created

I'm running Maian 1.3.6 on a Joomla 1.5 install. I can't add tracks anything because the component says both the .mp3 folder and the .mp3 preview folder were not created. Everything is fine in the System Tools area until I hit "system check." I get this error message.

System Check Results
The MP3 folder //xampp//tdocs//tracks could not be found
The Preview folder /home/laurawri/public_html/appalachiangothic.com///preview could not be found

Why are multiple slashes used and how do I create directories to match these addresses? Any help will be most appreciated. I'm excited about using this product.

0000031: Asked for e-mail address when logged in and downloading free tracks

When I am logged in as a joomla user to the site I am still asked for an e-mail address when I try to download a free track even though "Require Email Address Before Download?" is set to NO.
